UMMP Referral Representative

Job Description
The UMMP Referral Representative is responsible for marketing the UMMP Volunteer Program through effective marketing strategies. Experience in the UMMP Volunteer Program is ideal, but not required to perform this position.

Supervision & Support Received
  • Receives guidance from Executive Director
  • Receives access to all the marketing materials & social networks including: Facebook, Twitter, the UMMP PowerPoint Presentation, email templates, UMMP logos, media materials, etc.
  • Exercises direct supervision over possible volunteers

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Have a very clear understanding of the UMMP Volunteer Program & how it operates
  • Engage in public speaking events & presentations promoting UMMP
  • Create media releases & ads promoting UMMP
  • Use Social Networks to maximize marketing strategies for UMMP
  • Interview, screen, and refer applicants
  • Assist in orientating the volunteers prior to assignment
  • Serve as liaison between administration, staff, and volunteers
  • Establish positive working relationships with staff members & volunteers
  • Maintain a record of volunteer referrals & hours of work; prepare and present reports to management staff; recommend necessary changes or adjustments to the volunteer program.
  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Must have participated in the UMMP Volunteer Program or completed the UMMP Representative Training Program
  • Use computers & program related software proficiently
  • Develop recruitment & selection procedures
  • Interview for effective selection of volunteer candidates
  • Communicate in a friendly & informative manner with people from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and lifestyles.
  • Work independently and possess strong time management skills

Compensation
The UMMP Referral Representative is a commission based pay. For every volunteer you recruit who registers & participates in a one-week or more volunteer program with UMMP, the representative will receive a $200 commission.
