There are many festivals in Panama and many businesses shut down at these times. However, this will not hinder your volunteering experience, as when they are on you will be invited to celebrate with everyone. Traveling during holidays can be more challenging, so it is important to plan if you are traveling during Carnival, Christmas, Easter and other big holidays in Panama.
